Every month, when I’m ready to record these videos, I ask myself one question:
“What do people need to hear, today? What’s current?”
I’ll often get an idea after reading an article in the newspaper. Or listening to an interview on TV or the radio or a podcast. Or hearing several clients in a row talk about a similar work issue. Or getting an email or a phone call from my mother!
My 88-year-old, smart, relevant mother will email a link to an article or call me and say, “Tracy, watch the News Hour tonight. There’s a great interview with information that’s perfect for The Confidence Project.”
Mom has often served as our Chief Content Officer!
I got the idea for this month’s video from an app called “Well for the Journey.” It’s one of those daily inspiration apps that’s been coming into my inbox for years. Sometimes I skip it. Many times, I’ll read it and move on. But today’s message was powerful given all of the uncertainty and vitriol and worry in the world.
Here it is:
The deeds you do may be the only sermon some persons will hear today.
-St. Francis of Assisi
It’s easy to think, “What can I do? What deed can I do that may be the only sermon some persons will hear today?“ Only you know your deeds from you. Only I know mine.
How lucky those persons will be tomorrow when we do those deeds for them.
Thanks for reading.
